Was 100% an earth quake. It was a magnitude 4.5 that hit a few miles from Orcas. Despite not being strong enough to cause real damage, it was felt as far south as Portland and as far east as Issaquah →

🎥 Family movie night
5 PM - Tacoma Community College is screening of Moana 2 in the building 11 cafeteria with food and plenty of opportunities for your kids to meet other kids →
Afterward, stick around for the Winter Quarter Concert in building 2. It starts at 7:30 and features Laila West’s top-tier violin solos as well as various performances from the orchestra. It’s free →
🍺 Beer week festivities
5 PM - Logan Brewing based in Burien is partnering with local breweries on four different beers for Tacoma Beer Week. You’re invited to try their collab with Narrows Brewing today and tomorrow. Hot Key Imperial Pilsner is complex, doughy, and floral →
5 PM - Peaks & Pints is hosting the Pouring it Forward: Mary Bridge Dog Benefit fundraiser, consisting of an Olaf (the dog) coloring contest, a silent auction, and a specialty pour called Great Notion. Proceeds from the auction and pours will go directly to the hospital’s facility dog program →
6 PM - Bordeaux Wine Bar is offering you the chance to try three lambics from Tilquin, all aged in wine barrels to infuse the flavors of wine →
Tomorrow - March 8th
☘️ The 4th Annual Irish Fest
10 AM - It’s back and better than ever to celebrate it’s last year at Freighthouse Square (because it needs more space to hold all of you). There will be more than 40 vendors, plenty of food, and entertainment all day tomorrow →

🍻 More Beer Week shenanigans
11 AM - Stop by Narrows Brewing for a curated beer flight from six different local beer makers, including Sig, 7 Seas, E9, N47, and Camp Colvos →
Later on, stop by Parkway Tavern and celebrate International Women’s Day, beer week style. They’ll be featuring selections from participating Pink Boots Society breweries and jamming live tunes from 1 to 6 PM →
Prefer to work for your beer? Join the Tacoma Hash House Harriers who will lay out a five mile trail (including false trails, short cuts, and breaks) leading you to a cache of beer →
✨ An International Women’s Day party
Noon - Phenomenal She is throwing a fundraising brunch, including a mimosa social hour, round of women’s history trivia, silent and live auctions, hand massages, and more. Wear your favorite pink attire →
Later in the evening, stop by Odd Otter Brewing to see Stephanie Anderson and Nicola Linde performing classic covers until 8 pm →
🧼 Make your own soap
4 PM - There’s plenty more to do outside of Beer Week, including a soap making workshop with Craftopia. You’ll learn how to make your own cold-pressed soap and leave with three bars entirely unique to you. Sign up before 4 PM today or you’re outta luck until March 30th →
Sunday - March 9th
🛵 Brave the cold
10 AM - South Sound Scooter’s winter ride covers more than 50 miles (with a few stops to limber and warm up). It’s technically part of the Winter Rider’s Challenge, but anyone’s welcome to join →
Piston’s & People PNW is also hosting their monthly meet n mingle for folks who are into trucks, rods, bikes, and anyone else who wants to join at Cutters Point Coffee Co →
🎃 Opening day for Haunted Farmers Market
11 AM - If you’ve been waiting for a spooky market to tide you over until Halloween, it’s finally here. The Haunted Farmers Market hosts more than 250 rotating vendors including spooky art, taxidermy, food trucks, produce, and more →
Same time, same day, the spring series of Real Art Tacoma’s Artist Market kicks off as well with home decor, textiles, mobile tattoo artists, prints, art, jewelry, and more →
🍺 Last call for Beer Week
10 AM - The final day of Beer Week calls for a bit of cleaning up. Join the Tacoma Trash Pandas as they ensure they leave the area better than they found it →
After, head to Peaks and Pints for a sweet end to the celebration with a full tape takeover from Incline Cider. There will be 10 different ciders flowing →
You can also stop by E9 for $5 pint specials all day long →
Monday - March 10th
📖 STEM workshops for the littles
3:30 PM - Various library locations are hosting science and fun-filled workshops for kids throughout the evening. There’s an art workshop at Fern Hill starting at 3:30, binary code bracelets at Swasey also starts at 3:30, and LEGO Club at the Kobetich branch starts at 4. Check out the lineup →
🥊 Audition like a champ
7:00 PM - Ever dreamed of stepping into the ring with Rocky Balboa? Now's your chance. Tacoma Little Theatre invites all aspiring actors, singers, and fighters-at-heart to audition for the Washington premiere of ROCKY →
